How children grow into two languages
Our bilingual approach follows the immersion principle: children encounter English as a natural part of daily life – at the breakfast table, in the garden, during circle time. Language is never drilled. Children first listen, then understand, and – when they’re ready – begin to speak.
Every group includes a qualified educator who speaks English as their first language. Children hear authentic English every day, and the clear link between person and language gives them orientation and supports natural language acquisition.
English isn’t a subject here. It’s part of meals, play, songs and daily routines – and language connected to action and emotion is language that sticks.
Children are never pushed to speak. They listen, experience and join in when they feel ready – building confidence instead of pressure.
Wohlfühlräume – spaces designed to feel like home
Every Kitarino room is designed from a child’s perspective: furniture at child height, cosy corners to retreat to, and open space to run, build and make-believe. We call them Wohlfühlräume – feel-good spaces. Because children learn best – in any language – where they feel safe.
Starting daycare is a big step. Our settling-in process is gradual and individual: child, parents and a dedicated educator get to know each other slowly – and it only ends when everyone is ready.
We welcome each child with their own interests, talents and tempo – no rigid curriculum, no comparison.
Big group rooms, a dedicated movement room and a generous outdoor area mean there’s always space to run, climb and tumble.
Enquiries, visits and parent conversations are all possible in English – you’ll always have someone to talk to.
Bavaria supports kindergarten-age children with €1,200 per year, and the City of Augsburg offers additional fee support in certain cases – we’ll explain your options and help you apply.
Krippe, Kindergarten, Eingewöhnung – we’ll walk you through what every term means and what happens when.

A day in two languages
“Guten Morgen! Good morning!” – a warm welcome in both languages.
Shared breakfast – everyday English at the table: “Can you pass the bread, please?”
Morning circle: songs, rhymes and finger plays in English, led by our native-speaking educator.
Free play indoors or in the garden – children choose, educators accompany in German and English.
Lunch & quiet time – freshly prepared food, then stories and cosy corners.
Afternoon: snack, garden time and small projects – until pick-up.
